Poplar Shepherd's Hut: Willey, Shropshire
Poplar Shepherd's Hut at Willey Estates Camping is home to a single shepherd's hut in a rural walled garden.
Located in the very small Shropshire village of Willey, about 10 minutes' drive from Ironbridge World Heritage Site, this relaxed glamping spot is a great option for couples looking to escape to the country in style.
Families could also have a top time here, as the local area is full of kid-friendly places to visit (including Blists Hill Victorian Town a quarter of an hour down the road).
The Poplar is such a splendid pick for groups travelling with kids as there's ample room in front of the hut where they can pitch a tent – near enough to base to be safe, but far enough away to have a proper adventure. In addition, the walled gardens provide plenty of space for younger guests (or up to two well-behaved dogs) to blow off some steam in the fresh air.

Inside, the shepherd's hut has a double bed, a table and chairs and a logburner. There is also a barbecue and a table and chairs outside for your evening meals and drinks.
The hut isn't quite ensuite, but it has two smart wooden huts on either side that house the private compost loo and gas-fired shower.

Relax with the whole family, and the dog, at this peaceful place to stay in Shropshire. Just two miles down the river from Ironbridge, now a world heritage site with many things to see and do. There are lots of lovely local walks and many activities to enjoy including canoe/raft trips down the river.
The property itself is an old charming cottage that has been refurbished (so don’t expect the Ritz!). However, it is comfortable inside and has all the old charm with modern twists. One property has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with two singles (and a pull out trundle). The other has 3 bedrooms, two with a double bed and the third with a single. They both have their own separate gardens and lots of space to park.
The property has 3 bedrooms, two with a double bed, and the third with a single. There is a kitchen, dining area, living room and conservatory and a patio outside with a BBQ.
