MEET THE MINI MOOS!

Get up-close and hands-on with Europe's smallest and cutest cows.

Our farm is home to our charming herd of Dexter cattle, the smallest cows in Europe. Dexter cows are not only small, but they're also some of the calmest and most friendly cattle on the planet. They will come when called, eat from your hand and even play games. Once you've tried met our adorable Dexters, you'll love them as much as we do. 

On arrival at our farm in Shropshire, you will join us in The Old Barn, our specially converted indoor space, where your experience will begin with a quick health and safety briefing and a talk about the cows.

We will then take short trip to see the cows at their field. Standing in front of the gate or fence, you can then get stuck in feeding, petting and grooming them! You can give them a cute new hairstyle if you'd like. The most hardened cow lovers can even give the girls a little cuddle and a tickle under the chin.

You'll love our Mini Moo's doleful, cute faces and be delighted with their friendly and gentle nature. You may even get a moo or two!

Note: Depending upon the season, ground conditions and the needs of the animals, opportunities to go into the field with the cows may be available. Ask before booking if you wish to confirm this.

During Winter months you MUST bring appropriate footwear and clothing as our field can be extremely muddy. We recommend wellington boots and waterproof clothing. We recommend that small children DO NOT enter the field. The field is not suitable for pushchairs. 

​

You may view and handle the cows over the gate if you prefer not to enter the field. This is at your personal discretion.

The experience may not be suitable for very young children. Parental or adult discretion advised. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to the field if we have concerns over the safety of children around the cows.

Important!
Winter Booking Information

Due to their health & wellbeing needs, our Mini Moos are currently away from the main farmyard on winter grazing at the Quarry Field, a short distance around the corner. Following the briefing at the main farmyard, you will be required to drive in a convoy to the other side of the farm where we will park and walk up to meet the cows. 

​

You MUST bring footwear and clothing appropriate for a muddy environment. Due to the location of the Quarry Field the experience is currently not suitable for those with mobility issues, for very small children, pushchairs or those who struggle with cold and muddy conditions.

Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. Please note that this is an outdoor experience on farm tracks. These tracks are not smoothly tarmacked and may be uneven or muddy. As a result, our experiences are not accessible for wheelchair users or pushchairs.
     

  2. We reserve the right to refuse you participation of the experience if we feel it is a risk to your own safety. In this instance no refund will be given.
     

  3. While Dexter cows are generally calm, reserved creatures, they are still wild animals and can therefore be unpredictable. We have done our best to minimise the risks of accidents but unfortunately we can never completely eliminate this risk. Prior to the experience we will brief you on our health and safety procedures and it is your responsibility to follow them at all times. We cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries that occur whilst you are on our premises.
     

  4. Bookings can be made online, via email or by phone. Online bookings or bookings via email must be made 48 hours in advance but please feel free to call us within 48 hours for last minute availability.
     

  5. Please be aware before you book your experience that we cannot offer refunds if you change your mind. We will try to re-book you at a later date if there is a genuine reason for not attending, at our discretion, but during busy holiday periods this may not be possible. A rebooking fee of £15 will apply.
     

  6. We do not issue refunds due to inclement weather. We do run experiences in the rain so please be prepared to bring some wellies and wet weather gear with you. Although we wish it were not so, the weather is not within our control.
     

  7. If we have to cancel for any reason you will either be offered a later date or a refund.
     

  8. Please ensure you arrive 5 minutes prior to your allotted start time to allow for you to be booked in. In order to ensure our experiences run to schedule, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals and a refund will not be given.
     

  9. If you have underlying health conditions then it is your responsibility to assess whether you are fit to undertake the experience. If in doubt please consult a medical professional prior to the experience.
     

  10. Children remain the responsibility of the supervising adult at all times whilst on site. Please ensure they are capable of completing the experience they are booked for and ensure they remain under your control at all times.
     

  11. We would strongly advise washing hands prior to eating food and leaving the site.
     

  12. We reserve the right to refuse your participation if we feel you are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
     

  13. We cannot be held responsible for any allergy issues that occur due to not having been informed of them by you on booking. 
     

  14. We reserve the right to vary the experience for animal welfare and health and safety reasons.
